Half-Staff Kansas State Flags – Honoring Michael Knapp
Tuesday, June 26th, 2012American Flags and Kansas Flags to fly at half-staff Tuesday, July 3rd in the state of Kansas in honor of US Army Sergeant Michael Knapp.
According to the office of the governor:
Sgt. Michael Knapp died on Friday, May 18 while serving with the 1st Battalion Air Assault unit in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Sgt. Knapp was on his third tour in Afghanistan. Knapp was a member of the 1st Battalion (Air Assault), 377th Field Artillery Regiment, 17th Fires Brigade based out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
