American Flags and Maine Flags to fly at half-staff Saturday, September 8th in the City of Augusta, ME in honor of US Army Staff Sergeant Jessica Wing.

According to the office of the governor:
Staff Sergeant Wing died on August 28, 2012 at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. Staff Sergeant Wing was a UH-60 Blackhawk Crew Chief assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, of the 126th Aviation Regiment.

Half-Staff American Flags – Honoring Aurora, CO Victims

American Flags to fly at half-staff throughout the country Friday, July 20th through Wednesday, July 25th out of respect for the victims of the shooting in Aurora, Colorado.

According to the Office of the President:
As a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on July 20, 2012, in Aurora, Colorado, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, July 25, 2012. I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.

American Flags and Minnesota Flags to fly at half-staff Monday, August 1st in the state of Minnesota in sympathy for victims of the Interstate 35W bridge collapse four years ago in Minneapolis.  The bridge disaster killed 13 people and injured 145 more.
