American Flags and Arkansas Flags to fly at half-staff Saturday, December 1st in the State of Arkansas in honor of US Army Sergeant Joseph Richardson.

According to the office of the governor:
Sgt. Joseph Richardson died November 16th in Paktika province, Afghanistan from injuries suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device and small arms fire. Richardson was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Half-Staff Minnesota Flags – Honoring Dale Means

American Flags and Minnesota Flags to fly at half-staff Wednesday, November 28th in the State of Minnesota in honor of US Marine Lance Corporal Dale Means.

According to the office of the governor:
Marine Lance Corporal Dale W . Means enlisted in the US Marine Corps in January 2011. He was deployed to Afghanistan in July 2012 as a member of the Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force. Lance Corporal Means gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and died a hero on Sunday, November 18, 2012, when the convoy in which he was riding struck an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Means has the honored distinction of having been awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the National
Defense Service Medal.
