Our 5x8' Botswana nylon international flags are made from high grade nylon material. The nylon is manufactured to withstand the elements. Each flag is fully dyed for great ink penetration and finished with a standard canvas heading and brass grommets.
Adopted in 1966, the flag of Botswana is made up of a wide black horizontal stripe bordered by two thinner white stripes centered on an azure blue background. The color blue symbolizes rain and the importance of water in the country, and the black and white bands represent Botswana’s pluralist society and the racial harmony of its people. It is believed they were inspired by the stripes on a zebra, which is present on the coat of arms.
