Wednesday, November 6th, 2013American Flags and Massachusetts Flags to fly at half-staff Thursday, November 7th in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in honor of US Air Force Staff Sergeant Brett Carnathan. Staff Sergeant Carnathan joined the Air Force in 2003 and served in Afghanistan in both Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He was awarded the following honors: Air Force Commendation medal, the Army Commendation medal, the Air Force Achievement medal, the Army Achievement medal, the Combat Action Badge, the Air Force Combat Action medal and the Army Combat Action badge.
