Half-Staff Arizona Flags – Honoring Johnathan McCain
Wednesday, December 14th, 2011American Flags and Arizona Flags to fly at half-staff Thursday, December 15th in the state of Arizona in honor of Army Sergeant First Class (SFC) Johnathan B. McCain.
According to the office of the governor:
SFC McCain died November 13, 2011, in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
