Half-Staff Arizona Flags – Johnathan B. McCain
Tuesday, November 15th, 2011American Flags and Arizona Flags to fly at half-staff Tuesday, November 15th in the state of Arizona in honor of Army Sergeant First Class (SFC) Johnathan B. McCain.
According to the office of the governor:
SFC McCain died November 13, 2011 in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle. He was assigned to A Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
The Governor will order that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of SFC McCain’s interment. Arrangements are still pending.
