American Flags and Virginia Flags to fly at half-staff Tuesday, Septmeber 13th over the state Capitol building in honor of US Army Specialist Douglas J. Green. American and Virginia Flags are to also be flown at half-staff in Loudoun County and Arlington County in honor of US Spc Douglas Green.

American Flags and New York Flags to fly at half-staff Friday, September 2nd in the state of New York in honor of Army Private First Class Jesse W. Dietrich.
Army Private First Class Jesse W. Dietrich died of injuries sustained when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment of the 10th Mountain Division’s 3rd Brigade Combat Team stationed at Fort Drum. Private First Class Dietrich was from Venus, Texas.

American Flags and Michigan Flags to fly at half-staff Monday, August 29th in the state of Michigan in honor of US Army Corporal Joseph A. VanDreumel.
According to the office of the Governor:
VanDreumel was assigned to the 1st Battalion of the 2nd Infantry Regiment in the 172nd Infantry Brigade stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germany. He joined the Army in January 2010 and trained at Fort Knox, Kentucky, before serving in Germany from August 2010 through July 2011 and then Afghanistan. VanDreumel’s awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Combat Action Badge. He received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, NATO Medal, and the Afghanistan Campaign Service Medal posthumously. He was also posthumously promoted from the rank of specialist to corporal.
