American Flags and New York Flags to fly at half-staff Tuesday, April 10th in the state of New York in honor of US Marine Cpl Christopher Bordoni.

According to the office of the governor:
US Marine Corporal Christopher D. Bordoni died as a result of wounds sustained while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

American Flags and Montana Flags to fly at half-staff Tuesday, April 10th and Wednesday, April 11th in the state of Montana in honor of Joe Glass and Mark Radcliffe, the last survivors of the First Special Service Force – “The Devil’s Brigade”.

American Flags and Kentucky Flags to fly at half-staff Tuesday, April 10th in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in honor of Spc. David W. Taylor.

According to the office of the governor:
Spc. David W. Taylor died March 29th in Afghanistan while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Taylor was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

American Flags and Ohio State Flags to fly at half-staff Monday, April 9th at the Statehouse and in Franklin County in honor of three Ohio National Guard members who were killed in action. Captain Nicholas Rozanski, Sergeant First Class Shawn Hannon and Sergeant First Class Jeffrey Rieck all lost their lives while serving our country in Afghanistan.

Virginia Flags to fly at half-staff Friday, April 6th at the Capitol Complex in Richmond in honor of Charles City County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Walizer, who died in the line of duty.

Flags are also to be flown at half-staff in the following counties: County of Charles City

American Flags and Kansas Flags to fly at half-staff Saturday, March 31st in the state of Kansas in honor of Sgt. Jamie D. Jarboe.

According to the office of the governor:
Sgt. Jarboe died of injuries sustained in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was assigned to A Troop, 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Wyoming Flags to fly at half-staff Monday, April 2nd at the Capitol in Cheyenne and in Fremont County in honor of former State Senator Hewitt Youtz.

Hawaii State Flags to fly at half-staff Tuesday, March 27th in honor of King George Tupou V of Tonga.

According to the office of the governor:
Governor Neil Abercrombie recognized the king’s accomplishments stating, “King George Tupou V upon taking the throne in 2006 championed a more open system of government, advocating for technological improvements, introducing a more open economy, and pioneering a process of peaceful democratization.”

North Carolina State Flags to fly at half-staff Monday, March 26th in honor of State Sen. Jim Forrester.

According to the office of the governor:
NC State Sen. Forrester represented Gaston, Iredell and Lincoln counties for 11 terms.

American Flags and Wisconsin Flags to fly at half-staff Friday, March 23rd in the state of Wisconsin in honor of US Army Staff Sergeant Jesse J. Grindey.

According to the office of the governor:
Staff Sgt Jesse J. Grindey of the United States Army lost his life while serving his country during Operation Enduring Freedom. Staff Sgt. Grindey was a member of the 287th Military Police Company, 97th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, Fort Riley, Kansas.
