American Flags and Minnesota Flags to fly at half-staff Wednesday, March 7th in the state of Minnesota in honor of State Senator Gary Kubly.

According to the office of the governor:
Gary Kubly served as a Minnesota State Representative from 1997 to 2003, and as a Minnesota State Senator from 2003 to 2012. During his distinguished legislative career, Senator Gary Kubly was a tireless advocate for the important contributions agriculture makes to Minnesota’s economy and its people, and was also a leader on issues concerning rural health care, wind energy, jobs, and education. Among his many legislative accomplishments, Senator Gary Kubly was most proud of his record of reaching out to both sides of the aisle and treating all people with kindness and respect. In addition to serving his state, Senator Kubly also served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

American Flags and Maryland Flags to fly at half-staff beginning today, March 6th through Wednesday, March 7th, in the state of Maryland in honor of NJ Congressman Donald Payne.

American Flags and Virginia Flags to fly at half-staff Monday, March 5th at the Capitol Complex in Richmond in honor of US Army Col. Van T. Barfoot, World War II Medal of Honor recipient.

Flags are also to be flown at half-staff in the following counties: County of Henrico.

American Flags and Kentucky Flags to fly at half-staff Monday, March 5th in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in honor of US Air Force Lt. Col. John Loftis.

According to the office of the governor:
Lt. Col. John D. Loftis died Feb. 25 from wounds received during an attack at the Interior Ministry, Kabul, Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was assigned to the 866th Air Expeditionary Squadron, Kabul, Afghanistan.

American Flags and Virginia Flags to fly at half-staff Saturday, March 3rd at the Capitol Complex in Richmond in honor of US Army Sgt. Timothy J. Conrad, Jr.

Flags are also to be flown at half-staff in the following counties: County of Roanoke.
