The flag of Bosnia-Herzegovina, adopted in 1998, has a distinctive design with its yellow isosceles triangle positioned on a reflex blue field. Running along the hypotenuse of this right-angled triangle is a never-ending row of five-pointed white stars. The yellow triangle represents the three constituent peoples symbolizing hope for the nation, and the infinite stars represent Europe, of which Bosnia-Herzegovina is part.
