Alaska State Flags Nylon

The dark blue Alaskan flag was originally created in 1927 by thirteen year old John Bell Benson who submitted his design as part of a state-wide contest. Young Bensons' flag beat out 142 other entrants, most of which are on display at the Alaska Historical Library & Museum. The beautiful Alaska state flag contains eight gold stars, seven of which form the Big Dipper and the eighth is representative of the North Star.
