Adopted in 1996, the flag of Ethiopia is made up of three equally sized horizontal stripes. The green stripe on the top represents the fertility of the land; the yellow in the middle symbolizes religious freedom; and the red reflects the lives lost in the struggle for national integrity. The Ethiopian flag features the nation’s Coat of Arms at its center, a blue disk with a yellow pentagram on it. |
