Armenia Flags

Adopted in 1990, the flag of Armenia is made up of three horizontal stripes of equal proportion: vermillion red, ultramarine blue, and apricot orange (top to bottom). Despite conflicting interpretations of the meanings of the colors, it is believed the red stands for the blood shed by all Armenian soldiers, present and past; the orange stands for the fertile land and the farmers who work on it; and the blue stands for the sky.
